Unhappy Could this be False Lucid Dream???

Ok. I had my second lucid dream since.... December, and I thought I had a lucid dream.
But now that I think about this, it felt I kind of weird.
So I'm thinking could this be a FLD???

Here's my dream journal post of the dream.

I said can't hurt, and I 'reminded' my sub-concious about bringing up the whole thing. As I was close to my REM, I thought it's gonna be better. In my dream, I was at a really white place with nothing on like a scene from Matrix. Suddenly this old man came up to me and said 'You're dreaming lad.' I thought 'What?' But I said to myself 'I'm dreaming?' and then I remembered the whole thing with my dialog with subconcious and I became lucid. This is my second (if previous counts) lucid dream so it lasted for about 30 sec (about 2 sec last time ). I was trying to do anything, but I couldn't remember anything. So I stood there saying 'Wow. I actually did it!' Then I woke up and it was morning.

      I am not sure.

It might be a False Lucid Dream.

If you knew you were dreaming, then you were Lucid. There is NO such thing as a False Lucid Dream. There are only Lucid Dreams and Non-Lucid Dreams. What makes you think you weren't Lucid? Control and clarity are 2 separate issues. All you need in order to know it you were Lucid is that you were aware of the dreaming state while still dreaming.

100% Agreed. The only question here is did you know you were dreaming in the dream. Nothing else matters.

I believe in a false lucid dream. I would call this a dream where you think you are having a lucid dream, but you are actually not. In other words, you think, "Is this a dream? Oh, no it's not a dream. It's real," but you are actually dreaming.

Or, it could be when you have an FA, and you think, "Aha! A False Awakening, I shall do a Reality Check," only to find out you actually did wake up.

Disregard everything I said above. I was just joking.

Use the search tool before posting, you may have found that topic above. 'Course, you still would've been responded to....

Okay, the definition of a lucid dream is a dream in which the person having the dream knows they are in a dream. Did you KNOW you were dreaming?

Also, no such thing as a false lucid dream. That would be a non-lucid. Snowy Egypt has it spot on.

I'm not on DV much these days, but I'll try to toss a cool dream or two into my DJ.
