      Question Staying Lucid...help!

      Hey Guys,
      Alright,This is weird... ... ...
For the past two nights I've been getting 2 Lucid Dreams in a row on a WEEKDAY(weird since I usually have Lucid Dreams on a weekend, when I get plenty of sleep)... ... ...
On both of them,I've lost Lucidity in less than a minute... ... ...
      I simply did a RC to double check that I'm dreaming,then that's it...no dream... ... ...
This has never happened to me before, and I don't think it can be the fact that I can't recall the rest the dream because I've never had trouble with recalling my dreams (especially LDs) ... ... ...
      Please Help! ... ... ...
      Thanks ... ... ...
      Sam

      and wake up at 5:20am...
---When I woke up, I remembered it quite well..so I assume it was around 5am

maybe besides just doing an RC, you need to stabilize you dream body. something that worked for me after i had this same problem was to put my hands up, and just look at them, see every detail, looking at the back and front of them, touching them together. i guess this has an effect of stabilizing your dream body. i knelt in my dream when i did this, so i could be in a more solid stance. sounded weird to me, but it definitely worked.

The evening hangs beneath the moon, a silver thread on darkened dune.
With closing eyes and resting head; I know that sleep is coming soon.

Upon my pillow, safe in bed,
A thousand pictures fill my head,

      I cannot sleep , my mids aflight;
and yet my limbs seems made of lead.

Stop. Look around. Take it all in. Breathe. Slowly walk around and touch things. Say, "This is a dream."

Yes. Absolutely. I like to stare at a constant, like the ground for awhile to do that.

      Hey...
      Really...?
That's good to hear...I'll be sure to stabilize my dream before proceeding to the "fun stuff"..
But, I have a question...how does stabilization work?
Does it increase the vividness of the whole dream?
or just the part you're looking at?
      Thanks Again,
      Sam

Focusing passively on objects near you one at a time. Only choose a couple and go back and forth between them trying to retain their original form. It takes time to build up a capacity to take in a whole vivid scene without giving into excitement, so start small. Don't be too passive, but don't be overly concerned either - balance is key.
