      I want some advice.

I've been working on the task of lucid dreaming for....well over a year. It was May 2009 that I started. Since then I've kept multiple Dream Journals both online and offline, have done many techniques, reality checks and such. I've even purchased those B6 vitamins, and tried eating/drinking foods and such that have been said to help with dreams.

However, it seems I've hit a wall. Now my dreams are HARDLY vivid, and I'm having trouble falling asleep. Is there any other technique I can try that, from your testing, will help my dreams become more vivid and such? I try not to force things, either. I don't stress over it.

I've gotten close to lucidity in the past, and I've even had small lucid's that last only seconds.

I just want to know, can I do anything else to try and help myself? It's been so long, and I'm actually kind of getting impatient, which I know I shouldn't be doing *Shrug*

You may have lost your sense of purpose--or you may have lost your hope of achieving it. Or, it may have been determined that it is best at this time for you not to.

What is your purpose for lucid dreaming?

What about maybe trying to relax for a bit? Just take a few days where you try not to think about it. Just go to sleep with no intentions or expectations, then maybe write an entry in the morning in the Journal.
Who knows? Maybe your mind has gotten stuck in the mentality that it won't work? Just an idea, even though you say you don't stress over it :p
And if you can figure out why you're having trouble falling asleep, you might want to try and solve that - Maybe it has something to do with that.

I will have to agree with Philosopher, you might be overstressing on it and lost your original purpose, try taking a small break and then sticking to one technique only.
