      Mnemonics tips.

      Mantra tips. Whatever, same thing.

Regardless of whether or not the law of attraction exists, there are a few things to keep in mind when creating a mnemonic to help you with anything, including LD induction. Here are a few tips I've discovered over the years.

Be thoughtful with your wording. If you've memorized a long string of words, you've done just that-- made a long string of words. You might repeat it to yourself, but after a while it'll lose meaning. It's better to keep things short, sweet, and to the point. Choose a phrase that works for you, one that you clearly understand and can boil down to its basics

      Example

      WEAK
      Code:
I will realize that I might be dreaming, do reality checks, dream lucidly, and remember my dreams.
      STRONG
      Code:
I will know that I am dreaming. I will remember my dreams.
The second one is shorter, but much more likely to be helpful as it doesn't have too many steps and still keeps the main idea in focus. The least effort can sometimes provide the most success! Take that, high school.

Be positive. If you manifest a negative thought, even in a positive way, it could hinder your progress. Just by admitting to the possibility of something negative happening you're encouraging it to come your way.

      Example

      WEAK
      Code:
I will not forget my dreams.
      STRONG
      Code:
      I will remember my dreams.
Seems like a tiny difference, but the effects could be major. If you tell yourself not to forget your umbrella, chances are you'll forget your umbrella. If you tell yourself to remember your umbrella, you'll likely end up a much drier person.

      Finally,

Believe it. You can have the most brilliant mnemonic in the world, but if you don't believe it'll work, it won't. Simple as that. The power in mnemonics is in repetition and absorption. If you're simply saying the same phrase over and over, it's meaningless. You have to mean it every time you say it.

Just a few quick tips. Mnemonics are a great tool, but they work differently for everyone and some people sync with them much more easily than others. Questions are welcome, as are corrections. And by all means, if you have some more tips, post them here!

      Thanks, and dream well.
