      Beginner LD Induction Help

I've been keeping a dream journal for a couple of weeks now, doing reality checks, and am now starting to attempt lucidity.

However, because there seems to be so many techniques, I'm not really so sure where I should start. I've been working on trying to learn DILDs for the past few days.

Does anyone have any suggestions in regards to DILDs or the best induction techniques to begin with?

DILD is a good technique for beginners, because it basically involves using logic and awareness to create consciousness within a dream.

I have my own DILD guide which contains tips, a list of different reality checks, and a basic walkthrough if you're interested in having a look at it. The link is in my signature.

Another thing you can try is to couple the DILD method with MILD. Basically, the MILD technique works as a placebo effect - you continue to tell yourself that you will have a lucid dream, whether it's writing it down, thinking about it, or saying it out loud. It can work wonders!

If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I remember when I was in the same boat as you, Dorian. The abundance of techniques meant that I couldn't focus on a single technique for more than a few days or weeks. It was DILD> WILD>Dream signs> Supplements>Hypnosis> MP3 aids, etc. In the end I discovered Dream Reentry and Non-Induction technique and they worked very well for me. I would only asssume that your goal is to LD on demand, rather than LD sporadically at random. In this case, you need to find a technique that feels right for you and is almost effortless.

There's a DEILD tutorial available, and it is the same technique as Dream Reentry.
This lengthy thread covers the Non-Induction technique http://www.dreamviews.com/f12/possib...eaming-114161/

Both techniques require you to find the feeling, after which they are incredibly effective, practically allowing on-demand lucid dreaming! These may be a bit over the beginner skill level, but they are something to aspire to!
