basically techniques fall into two categories, dream induced (DILDs) and wake induced (WILDs).

all of the wake induced methods that come to mind involve a pretty good chance of intense imagery / experiences / "hallucinations."

But there are a variety of ways to have DILDS: MILD, VILD, ADA, and RC's are variations on the DILD theme.

But really, the "hallucinations" are pretty awesome. I would eventually want to overcome my fear of them, but i understand that is not for some people.
