NEW Energy Ways by Robert Bruce

Anyone read this lately? I know it's about 10 years old, but I find it interesting. Besides, stuff like this doesn't really get dated, right? I found it online easily enough. I THINK it's freely available, legally, but I'm not sure so I haven't linked it here. Let me know if it isn't.

I find it interesting because, out of all the books and websites I've read on paranormal stuff, this is the only one I can really get into. Probably because my senses tend to be... conservative, for lack of a better word. I never see or hear things that aren't there, for example. Well, while I'm awake, anyways. On the other hand, I also often fail to notice things that are right in front of me. I can be pretty oblivious sometimes. My point is, any of the methods that involved visualization, imagination, or trying to see auras would utterly fail for me. And yet... I can actually feel myself raising some energy using this method. In that regard, it's already beaten anything else I've read. And I'm fairly confident that if I can do it, anyone can. So I'm curious to hear about anyone else's experiences with it.

I haven't gotten this book, I've been meaning to get it. And I think what it is is, he has his older version of the book for free on his website. While his newer and more expanded version is for sale. I'm sure people have already stolen the newer book though and put it up on torrent. So if you want to support Bruce, just stick to his website.

I've only done a bit of energy work based on how he taught it - and I got some good results even within a week (it increased my dream recall). I should pick it up again, thanks for reminding me

Yeah, I just found the full contents of this on his website. It's fully legal. You can find it here: Using NEW - Full Tutorial

I have a PDF I found elsewhere for convenience, but it's exactly the same material. I've gotta get into the habit of going with this. Glad I could remind someone of this.

A quick update for the past few days, on my personal progress:

These days I seem to be waking up more tired than usual. At the same time however, I'm less likely to go back to bed, because I want to get up and do things. It's as though my body is more tired, but my mind is more restless. After a nice hot shower I'm as good as ever, and it doesn't seem to have any lasting effect on my ability to function. I tried to keep up with all the basics you're supposed to do, but I just get bored so quickly. The past day or two I've just decided to work on doing the full curcuit. Supposedly it'll help stimulate the smaller areas, in it's own way. I can still somewhat feel energy rising through most of my body when I do this, but I might still be taking shortcuts I shouldn't. Only time will tell. Other than this, my dreams have been more fragmented, with nothing really worth recording. I'm hoping this is just a temporary phase. I'll post another update when I see any real changes.

Apparently this system is what his Energy Work book builds off of, so there's probably no real need to read it if you have the book. On that note, Energy Work was nice and cheap on Amazon, so I ordered it this morning. I'm eager to see how it expands on this system. As far as personal updates, I don't have many. Schoolwork pushed this out of my schedule for the past few days, but I'm getting back to it this weekend. I'm still wondering if doing only the circuit will have the results I want, since I just don't have time to spend on preliminary warmup. I guess time will tell.

I know this is a double post, but it's been a while. Just a couple updates of note. I've been playing with this stuff on and off for the past couple weeks, particularly since the Energy Work book came in. I went to a convention last weekend though, so I didn't do any energy work that weekend. That kinda threw me off. I've gotten back into the groove again the past couple days though. Did some basic energy work this morning, and decided to jump into the primary chakra work tonight. I just finished with that, and all I can say is... woah. It took me a little while to get to the proper relaxed mindset, but once I did I felt some pretty strong sensations. And after I was done I felt the aftereffects for a few minutes. My sense of balance was kinda off, and my vision was fuzzy. I think I was a little overenthusiastic. xD I'm basically better now though.

I've noticed that I have trouble feeling energy move through my torso, or through my shoulders. I think working with the chakras will help on the torso, at least. It was also clear that some chakras responded better than others. In my case, I had the most trouble with the root, navel, and crown chakras. The solar plexus and throat chakras responded the best. I got a really good response from the third eye, too, once I got it to "warm up", so to speak. It wasn't cooperative at first. Finally, the heart chakra was somewhere in the middle, I guess. I clearly need to practice with this more, but I found it exhilarating, so I thought I'd share.

I've had trouble with the root and navel too. Sometimes my root is like, not there, unless im just really confused on what Im supposed to be focusing on.

Solar and heart are pretty active. Throat is very relaxing. Eye and crown just give me a headache!

Umm... he suggests that for the root chakra you focus on the perinium, or whatever it's called. It's... "down there". "That area between the genitals and the coccyx" is how he puts it a few times. It does take a bit of trial and error to focus on, but mostly it's just kinda awkward. >.> He does say the root chakra needs to be in tune for the rest to function at peak performance though, so it's worth the effort.

the perinium is basically at the bottommost point of the upper body, just in front of the anus. Once the body starts curving back up, you've gone past it. It's the same as the "male g-spot". It supposedly serves a similar purpose to the tan-tien, energy retention, which is the more traditional of the two to focus on. You will find the tan-tien beneath your second chakra.
