I'm going to do shrooms in sometime in the next week. I was wondering if you guys could give me some advice and maybe some insight on what to expect. I'm a little sketchy about it lasting so long and being really intense. I'm going to do it with 3 friends I think maybe 2. |

A sitter isn't entirely necessary, but I could see it being helpful to have someone around who's in their right mind |

I've had many many trips on high doses of bud, I've also tryed salvia several times, but i heard salvia alot different. |

Yes and a half. Don't think you can just talk around it like pot. Pot is a background high. When you're tripping, you're really out of it. |
|
hmmm ok i was kind of feeling that way. I want to do it in the forest with a couple friends I vibe well with, that would be cool. |

I think you should do it by yourself your first time. No distractions like music, TV, etc. Ive tripped around sober people and I always find myself getting annoyed by them really quick because they make a spectacle out of me. They all expect me to do something crazy because im on shrooms. Forests are my favorite places to trip you will see why. Everyone is different, some people will feel comforted and empowered by being around others but my most profound trips have been by myself in silent darkness. |

The important thing is to not be afraid! A lot of people try to make everything perfect for their first experience with a psychedelic drug in order to avoid a bad trip, but it is better to foster the idea that whatever happens, everything will be alright. If you plan things out too much, then even a slight deviation from what you expected to happen can put off your mood and set you down a path of negativity. Just go with the flow. It is important to do some planning though, for instance; plan to not be around any negative people who might bring you down, especially the type of negative people who feed off of creating drama. If any of the people you plan on tripping with are like this, I would suggest backing out. |

Thanks for all the advice you guys. Storm crow that is exactly how I feel. and thats a really good point you made Xaqaria, the trip really is all in your head and so is your opinion about the situation you are in. Although i do find negative people are a total energy drain. |

Xaqaria does have a good point. |

I think lucid dreamers are the most equipped to control psychedelic trips; they are very similar to dreams. If you are able to use lucidity to over come nightmares, it will be much easier to keep your trip going in a positive direction. |

The truth of the matter is, believe it or not, the mushroom is a spirit, which is alive. It will teach you something that you need to know. There is no point in going against it or trying to steer it in a positive direction. What mushrooms try to do is steer you into such direction, that the trip will influence and imrpove the rest of your life. All you need to do is have faith in the mushroom which has higher intelligence than you. |

No. Drugs contain the compound psilocybin, which is a well-known, studied hallucinogen. There is no higher intelligence locked in this piece of fungus. There is nothing magical going on behind the scenes. |

The human body is surrounded by an electromagnetic field which is our consciousness, same goes for plants. |

You are behaving like a troll, and doing exactly what trolls do. If you wish to engage in serious debate, first start by plainly stating your claim, and supporting evidence for your claim. In this case, it would go something like... |
|
If you can deduce that yourself, then what is the point of me doing it? |
