Apparently no. You have to be attuned by a 'master', so they say anyway, which in the UK cost upwards from £80.... Though Ive read some meditations can ignite the kundalini, supposedly granting you access to this 'reiki energy'. |

So I have worked with my own energy for maybe a year and a half now, and I've been looking into reiki. I watched this video, and as I did the meditation, it was incredibly easy, almost nothing was different except for a few minor things changed within myself, like something clicking into place. but I don't really feel all that different. |

Yes, you can attune yourself to Reiki. That is how the Reiki systems are created. |
|
Getting tuned in by a master is not the only way just as there is not just one type of Yoga in Hinduism. There's a very similar yoga, it might be a different style of Bhakti Yoga, I'm not sure, but it is about achieving enlightenment merely by being in the presence of a master. Think of it like trying to light a log on fire with matches vs setting it next to a roaring fire. |

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.
Thanks everyone, I have been doing my own research into reiki over the last few months and came to the same conclusions. I appreciate it. |

I recommend reading the short article here: Different energies and systems This is about channeling different energies. I have some experience in energy work. After having read the above I attuned somebody else to a system that I just had come up with myself, what I thought would be useful for that person. It worked very well - I was positively surprised how well actually. |
|
Thank you, this is exactly what I have been looking for, I have come to similar conclusions, if not the same ones as the first article. It's good to have some confirmation that someone else has figured out the same thing. |

Here's a funny video. This lady is obviously crazy but it's still a good reminder of the cult aspect of Reiki one should avoid |

No. |

You are a worthless poster. |

But I have lots of likes. |

I suppose the question has been answered so troll on. |

The real trolling is the idea that one must defer to a "master" who will wave his hands around your head for 100$ in order to awaken supernatural forces within you. |
|
No, trolling is assuming people buy into something just because they explain it instead of ridicule it. If you cared to read any of my posts or anyone else's on this thread you'd understand no one here plans on buying into the scam and if anything we're recommending caution. |

there is a big, big difference between reiki and kundalini. It's like the difference between a gentle wave and falling into the deep sea without a lifejacket. if you accidently ignite Her without the proper grounds in place, you could die. reiki can be cultivated through the standard chi systems like chi kung, qigong, etc. it just takes practice and devotion. |
|
Yet you Picard me for ridiculing said scams (more like expressing disbelief even). More "reactionary bias" as you put it? |
|
No I picarded you for being a Captain Obvious. Yes people believe this shit works, otherwise people wouldn't be making money at it. |
