Hey, well I guess this is where it all begins! I started here because I like the idea of being able to compile/monitor my progress and receive feedback on what I have done etc. This is the first time I have done something like this workbook and would appreciate whatever support others could give me! Otherwise just bear with me.. here we go: ToxicBear's Workbook Reality Checks - Questioning reality. I try to question reality in waking life, a method I try is asking myself "Am I in a dream?" every time I pass through a doorway (harder than you think). As long as it is brought to my attention in a dream, I do not need to actively test/check. Dream Signs: - I don't have any solid/permanent dream signs maybe I'm not paying hard enough attention, anyone else in the same boat? Short Term Goals: - Follow the intro course, post regularly etc - Complete TOTM - Update DJ!!! Long Term Goals: - Perfect the WILD technique - Finish reading Exploring the World of Lucid dreaming (Stephen la-B) and Gateway to the inner self (Robert Waggoner) - complete TOTY and ideas such as cloning or practicing waking skills in the dream world - eventually broaden my knowledge and help others achieve lucidity as well! Lucid/Dream Recall History: I remember dreams from when I was a kid, 8-11 years old, some of which were lucid. I might add these into my DJ. Recently (Last few months) Dream recall has been sketchy with a few lucids, Dreams I do remember are loooong, sometimes I only remember it in parts throughout the day, as I remember more and more of them. These long ones are usually pretty weird (I will post these to my DJ, don't let me forget!) *As a side note, how can I add a link to an entry in my DJ, so I don't have to write a dream twice when I want to add it to my workbook? Current Techniques: -WILD -WBTB -DEILD In my limited experience, these three work well! Other: So, I will make new posts with updates (if that's how this works?) per day, as I follow the lessons and complete the home-works, as well as adding any dreams I have recorded on paper into my DJ here on the forum. feel free to check them out when they are uploaded and to comment/provide advice as it is always appreciated!

Date: 29.04.2014 Lesson 1 Homework: Bedtime routine as of today -Lights out 9/10pm -alarm set for 4am -WBTB/WILD attempt at 4am (reset alarm for 7am) -wake up at 7am, scribble down dreams/sketch while dream is still fresh. Lesson 2 Homework: -Decided to focus on WILD technique Dreams: So I recalled a dream fragment last night and also added some quick sketches, here goes; I was attempting a WILD but lost conscious awareness and fell asleep. I then came to in a cobblestone alley between two buildings hewn from stone, upon exiting the alley I looked around to see that I was in some kind of courtyard looking up at a huge castle-like structure that was growing from the stone, it had grass on the spires and tops of the roof/battlements, like it had risen from the ground. It was falling apart and the whole place seemed abandoned. Then I saw what looked like a patrol made up of a ragged group of soldiers, lead by a brown haired, bearded man wielding a spear and wearing a dark cloth cape with a symbol on the back I can't recall. he pointed me out to his soldiers and shouted "There he is!" This is when I realize I am wearing this leather armour with a symbol on my shoulder (I can somehow see this from a 3rd person perspective) which I know is the mark of an enemy clan/kingdom. I start to run away but the guy with the spear throws it, and it slams into my back and out my chest. I look down, kind of in shock at the spear and the amount of pain I was in, then I woke up suddenly. The feeling of the spear was pretty horrible! Sketches: The guy with the spear. Dreams: Date: 01.05.2014 Had a weird experience last night at around 4:00am (WBTB time lol) while trying to WILD, I felt/heard a scratching around my neck then I felt my body vibrating a little! Then my hands felt as though they were lifting off the bed, followed by my body. I remember thinking; 'This is probably what alien abduction feels like!' at this point I moved a finger to check if I was in sleep paralysis, but it moved so I continued with the WILD. I am not sure how, but I failed to enter the following dream sequence properly, it felt like I was half in, half out. I could still feel my real body at times and at others I was trying to interact with the dream, but it was like I was just a passive observer and had no influence. So yeah any feedback/ideas would be appreciated!

Nice WILD Attempt too, if I were you I'd just stick at it and keep going, the more you work at it the better you're going to get at it, think of it like a rock climb and each attempt is getting you closer to the top. Interesting effect how you were half in/half out.. I think it's a matter of sticking with it and slowly attempting to enter the dream (Sort of like what you'd do if you were trying to have an OBE.) Hey everyone! It's been a while since I have done anything here, I have just finished an intense period of exams and have been busy! So now I have more time, I can focus more on Lucid dreaming. Be seeing you guys a bit more! As a small progress update, I have still been having some seriously crazy non-lucid dreams, but I haven't written them down *face-palm* However I might be able to recall some fragments to add the the DJ, And also open up a thread in the Art corner soon, for anyone who likes drawings resembling a child's scribbles! Date: 01.11.2014 Have been experimenting with different techniques and such, had a few weird experiences recently, and a lot of vivid dreams but no lucids. :c A few nights ago I was awake late (3-4 in the morning, and I was kind of tired, so I was lying down, when I started to see imagery and a dream scene started to appear. This was pretty exciting, and I tried to relax and merge with it. The though somehow came to me that I was next to my friend, and that his head would turn into a monster and I would kill it. the thought was kind of like I was planning the dream before it happened and it was fuzzy/insubstantial, exactly like a thought should be. Suddenly I was fully aware of my body in bed, and I was awake. But the pillow I was resting my head on was the head of some monster, and it was right in my face, growling. I was pretty scared, but I stayed still (keeping in mind it wasn't real) for what felt like a minute, until it went away. This was pretty disturbing as I haven't had a nightmare or really terrifying dream since I was maybe 7 or 8. Yesterday, I had a scary SP experience. I was taking a nap around 1 o'clock when I slipped into a dream where I was handling a deadly scorpion in an empty tin watering can, it crawled up the side and fell out. I was starting to wake up a bit, so it seemed like I dropped it on my bed. I then tried to get up out of bed to get away from the scorpion, but I couldn't move. I tried calling for help, but my tongue felt thick and I could only wheeze a bit, so in my half asleep state, I thought I had been stung and was paralyzed. after a couple seconds my head suddenly clicked and I was out of SP.

Sorry to hear about the unpleasant experiences, ToxicBear. About the first one, I would advice to try to think of more pleasant things when trying to have a lucid dream (pre bed/wbtb/before naps), this way you will most likely incubate a nice scenario.

Date 09.11.2014 I came home the other day after school, and was pretty tired. I went and took a nap in my room. I woke up about 2 hours later, it was dark already and I was being called for something, but I was comfortable. I was on my back hands on my chest, and I started feeling heavier and fuzzy? hard to describe, but I knew it was the onset of a WILD. I stayed still and the feelings grew, I also had my eyes open at some points, which was weird since doing so usually shakes the WILD. I started hearing noises (laughter) from my right, and I opened my eyes in shock. I saw a pair of eyes off in my dark room, but I ignored them. my arms then rose in front of me which was pretty strange. Although I knew I could have gone all the way into a lucid, I had to go so I woke myself up and then fell out of bed because my lower half was still in sleep paralysis xD

Date 27.11.2014 I was awake until late (If I stay up real late, about 4am, I can WILD really easily. Makes it hard to wake up though.) and I was ready to try WILD. I lay in my usual position, on my back, and started to fall asleep. I slipped into a non lucid dream, where I was running around a car park trying to find a usable car. I came to the correct one, when I noticed An old man and woman. Suddenly I was aware of my body again, I lost the dream scene but could still hear voices from the old couple. My body was tingling and felt fuzzy-ish again (really hard to describe) so I knew it was the onset of a WILD. The lady asked; "Are you selling me lies?" in an accusatory tone. This made me feel a bit uneasy, but I tried to maintain conversation until I was lucid. Then I heard footsteps in my room. (I have a real small room btw) they were heavy steps, up and down my room, close to my bed on my right, at a kind of fast walk. This was made even creepier for me as my head was turned away, so I couldn't open my eyes to check what was there, even though I knew it was just hallucinations. My Imagination started to get the better of me, I started imagining something leaning in and whispering in my ear >.< so I decided to wake up fully. Afterwards I fell asleep normally and had what I thought was 9 separate dreams, but was only really one long dream. So all in all, a pretty awesome night

That was so close! The stuff that happens on the verge of sleep can be so weird at times. It may help to focus on the dream scene and getting there rather than whatever is or isn't outside of our sleeping selves. But I would have totally creeped out if this happened to me, lol.

Workbook Entry #7 Date: 17.01.2015 First Lucid in a long time! It was about 5pm ish I woke up for a WBTB. I went to try and WILD, and suddenly I feel like a hovered over the bed and then I was confused at first because I was in London alone (and partially naked) so I mentally clothed myself and I walked over to the Thames. It was new, new years eve, like people were celebrating it twice? I vaguely remembered the January ToTM, so I jumped into the Thames (which was freezing and I was naked again?) then made it to one of the barges, where I pulled a sting that set of all the fireworks in the wrong order, which made a Korean flag appear. Barack Obama was watching and he got pretty mad so these men were paddling toward me on small dinghies to capture me and take me to Guantanamo bay or something, but I still had to finish a bottle of champagne, I imagined someone behind me had some, so I turned around and stole it from some old lady I then kicked into the river. The dream slipped and I was in bed, but I stayed still and after a few minutes I was back in a dream, no champagne though. I was in a field, with seemingly infinite green hills of the same size, each with a different door in them. I knew that there was champagne behind one of the doors so I went and looked for it like a fool, since I forgot I could just make some appear. Eventually I opened a door and the old woman I had kicked into the river earlier was there, and she had champagne, so I stole it again, closed the door and drank the entire bottle. She opened the door and said something like "I knew you'd try that again you little shit!" I realized she had poisoned the champagne, and I felt really sick. Then I projectile-vomited on the woman, trying to get back at her before I "died" and she had a heart attack or something, so the "spell" or poison or whatever was cured! It then became a non-lucid where I was still running from Obama and something about space. xD

LOL. Congratulations on the hilarious lucid, ToxicBear! I'm glad to hear that you had such a good time jumping into the Thames, ruining the fireworks show, and not letting Barack Obama throw you into Guantanamo Bay! Nice job handling the poisoning as well, ha ha... I'm excited for you having such a great lucid on your first one in a while! Enjoy!! Roll with this momentum and keep them coming!

Workbook Entry #8 Date: 27.01.2015 Had a somewhat irritating dream last night, This is the fragment I remember from it. I was running across a small grassy area, In the shape of a triangle bordered by three roads, about 60 meters across. There were trees all around and I was headed for a group of people. It was one of the most realistic dreams I have had. I heard my mom call from behind me, and I specifically remember thinking, "No way is this real, its a dream" and I told myself to RC, but I wasn't lucid! I kept going until I reached the group then we headed off down a street, and that's the last thing I remember.
