      Just getting started

      Hello people of Dreamviews,
I have just started to get serious about lucid dreaming. it's always been a subject of interest to me, but I've never taken the time to actually discipline myself to try and induce it. I've got a dream journal with one entry in it (last night) and I am highly motivated to accomplish this. I've designated the next two years of my life to studying and developing the skills I need to be able to have lucid dreams when I want. That's the goal at least. I figured something good to go along with motivation is accountability, which is the main reason I registered with this site.

I know this is not going to be easy to get where I want to be with lucid dreaming. So I'm looking for a group of people that will help me a long the way. advice. encouragement.

This is something I really want and desire to be efficient at.

Being new at this site I could really use some pointers and a little guidance. if any one here feels like showing me the ropes along the way you would make me highly grateful.

      David.

I'll help you out. Just send me a message.

I don't know how easy lucid dreaming is, since I never had one YET, but you will start to remember your dreams really quickly.

I remembered 5 dreams last night, and that was only the start of my 2nd week of learning!

      Best of luck!

GabrielG, if I understand you correctly, you're very much in the same situation as myself. I'm still new here, so take my advice with a grain of salt.

You dream every night. So you need to improve your ability to remember them if you don't remember them often. Keep a dream journal, if you don't already. You seem to have pretty interesting dreams, like myself (although I'm sure that's true for everybody). You and I, I believe, need to increase our awareness. There's no doubt that being chased by the devil or finding oneself trapped in an underground catacomb with evil can (probably) only happen in a dream. Nonetheless, neither of us appear able to become lucid.

I was told that in order to increase vividness and awareness in a dream, one needs to increase awareness in real life. Take a bit more time during your day to notice things. Just a few seconds ago I picked up a rock that was gathering dust on my desk and just studied its surface, felt its texture in my hand. Whether I'm doing it right I'm not sure, but I'd say it's worth a try, eh?

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. I've trained myself to the point where as long as I get enough sleep, I'll lucid dream.
