      My first induced lucid dream!

      I am so excited!

I had my first real induced LD last night. I have been reading about Lucid Dreaming after watching "Inception", and it really got me thinking. I have the book, "Lucid Dreaming: Gateway to the Inner Self", and have just started reading it. Anyway, I have been trying for about a week now, and finally had success last night! Here is my formula/account:

      1. Formula

Late at night I drank about 12 ounces of apple juice, took an Omega 3 fish oil supplement (been doing that for a week), and a B6 tablet (same). I put on head phones with Binaural beats in the Theta range (about 6 hz beat, 90 hz base, with pink noise). I'd also been practicing looking at my hands several times a day and asking, "Am I dreaming?". I mean, I REALLY thought about it.

      2. Result

The head phones are a pain. Woke up in the middle of the night tangled in cords, took them off, fell back to sleep

At about 8 am this morning, woke to pee, went back to bed (WBTB pee induced lol)

I dreamt, nothing out of the ordinary. Then at one point in my dream, I'm sitting in a cab with Elaine and Kramer (Seinfeld). No one is talking, no driver. I turn and look at Elaine, and realize, "wait a minute, I don't know her! I immediately look at my hands. OMG some of my fingers are missing, and a few are only half fingers! BANG! I realize I'm dreaming! It was fantastic! I won't go into the dream, because I think that is boring to other people, but a few highlights that are important, and I need help with:

      1. When my LD started to collapse, I spun around in my dream. It worked! I fell back into the dream

      2. I dove under water and plugged my nose and mouth, but could still breath. Cool...

      3. I continued looking at my hands through the dream, and each time, they were "wrong", which kept me lucid, at the sacrifice of the dream beginnng to collapse, but somehow, I stayed in it.

      4. I tried to fly, but no matter how hard I tried, I could not. Why?

      5. I cried in my dream out of pure joy. Strange.

Anyway, that is my first accidental WILD dream, thanks to having to pee...

Can anyone tell me why I couldn't fly? I knew I was dreaming, but I just couldn't do it. My "reality" beliefs totaly ruled me in this case. I knew flying was impossible, and that transmitted to the dream.

      Anyway...WOW!

AH that seems really cool! I don't know about the flying, but I think there is a tutorial on flying on this site. It may be of help, idk I haven't read it. But congrats!

I have been off and on with lucid dreaming. But everytime I've gotten back into and successfully had a lucid dream, I was flying. The first time was awesome, but it didn't work right away. I was looking at the sky and saw a balloon type of object and wanted to touch it. So I just did the whole superman thing and jumped but came back down. I tried it again and I still came back. One more time and off I went. I don't think I did anything different but it just worked. Keep trying to do it is all I would suggest.

      Congratulations!!

I had my first induced LD recently too, but I didn't try anything too strange. The only dream control I did was try to summon someone (failed, got my friend instead, yay), put my finger through a window (it gave way, much like icy snow does when you put your finger in it) and tore it, and ordered a dog to sit and shut up XD Didn't try flying, somehow it just didn't occur to me. I also tried teleporting but that didn't work either.
