      Newbie here. Having trouble

Hi everyone. I started practicing WILD but it didn't and still doesn't work.
The way I found out about lucid dreaming was I visited a general forum and someone posted a pis with sugestions on achieving lucid dreams. It was similar to WILD but without the sleep prep. Basically it sugested you just have to chill out and ignore any signals from brain to body and you would go to sleep paralysis and then LD.

I tried this every night before getting exhausted and falling asleep and when I woke at night I would try WILD so both bases are covered. I also started a dream journal today.

But there are a few major problems which bug me.

First I had trouble with saliva but learned that keeping the tongue tip pressed against the two of my top teeth would solve this problem and it did.

      The remaining problems are:
      1. My legs keep sending me electric shivers while I sleep (probably nerves) and I
managed to relax and take control of this only once and frustratingly never since.
      2. I can hardly remember my dreams. I remember when entering them (but I can't
control these) but can't really remember anything when I wake.
      3. I managed to relax my body but I can't attain sleep paralysis

I also start seeing starry waves with closed or open eyes (in darkness of course) and they kinda look like the star gate wormholes.

Please help because I sincerely want to progress and share it with you as I do

Well, first, you can swallow or move in WILD, getting confortable makes it easier to sleep.
The electric shivers may be part of SP.
Remembering dreams is easier when you wake up without being disturbed ie, no sounds or light bothering you.
You do attain SP, the hallucinations (starry waves) are proof of that, if you can still move, then congratulations, you don't need SP for WILDing!

Thank you very much. I thought SP was necessary and would be fun (well kind of fun). But since its OK to move I still have problems with reality checks since it always turns out I'm still here. So it might be that the only problem is staying in SP long enough. Can you help me there?

The electrical feeling in my legs is very annoying and a great hindrance. I looked up stuff on the web and seems very much like Restless legs syndrome. Sometimes if I don't move it just itches to the point of madness and my toes and feet even twitch. It used to be worse and I had problems sleeping because of this. Its like having an orgasm in your legs and sorry for the lack of a better description. The only problem is its like orgasming without a release and its only intensifying until you start moving. I hope there is some solution to this and that this is not an end in my DL journey

you have basically posted several questions at once. i would recommend you break them down into smaller practices and work at them.
-read the wild tutorials and methods on here, the tutorial you read sounds less than complete
-read the dream recall and journaling threads on here as well

WILDing is generally described as much more difficult than other methods. it is also very difficult to do at night due to sleep phases. try it (or other methods) after about 5-6 hours of sleep.

SP is very helpful for entering dreams, and you should try to move as little as possible, but i think walms is saying dont stress the occasional swallowing or itching.

      good luck, keep trying.

Thanks guys. The method I use before I fall asleep is here http://www.dreamviews.com/f79/mind-a...utorial-42271/. After I wake up I try WILD.
