      Dream Incubation vs LDs?

How do you personally view Dream Incubation in relation to Lucid Dreams?

I had what I consider two lucids last night. I did take melatonin (Only to put me out), but I listened to Hemi-sync "Sweet Dreams," and did my first attempt at incubation. I focused on my girlfriend (As usual lol), and followed the directions.

I woke up in the middle of the night, flicked on a light only to grab some ear plugs to help me sleep. My bed felt a lot similar to the times where I've attempted WBTBs even though I was up for all of a minute. I went to bed hoping to just get good rest, and I ended up having two really vivid dreams that were quite on par with my goals. I don't think there was direct control, but when I found her in my dream, things became more vivid and I did feel conscious awareness.

But I think the incubation took over more than actual Lucid Dreaming per se. I did put it in my count, but I'm still unsure if it could really be considered completely lucid.

Just wanted to hear everyone's scope on the whole thing.

dream incubation is a lot easier than lucid dreaming because you don't have to change states of mind. You can use dream incubation to lucid dream even. I once use dream incubation to get myself in a room with RC written all over the wall. I recognized it and became lucid.

Thank you for the reply. You do bring up a good point. I never thought of using it as a tool to help.
