Yes, it was an undeepened, unstabilized, excited and short Lucid Dream
To fulfill your Sleep, you have to Dream,
To fulfill your Dreams, you have to Wake up.

      Congrats!
      Things to do 2012/13:
Write dreams in my journal every day [ ] Practice reality checks as often as possible [ ] Start having lucid dreams again [ ] Try to create a continuous dream world i.e. each lucid picks up from where the last left off - could be fun.. or impossible [ ]

if you realized you were dreaming then it was a lucid dreaming.

sounds similar to my first and only lucid dream... I got so excited that i woke up after 2 seconds of my reality check. my biggest question is this: DOES it count as a lucid dream if you start the dream knowing that you are dreaming, but don't care enough to do a reality check? This is something i did a couple weeks ago and i can't decide whether i should count it as a lucid dream. I feel like it wouldn't be fair and as you may have seen, i've classified it as half a LD. maybe it was just a semi-lucid dream (?)
I wander through the woods listening to the sound of nature. The sky turns red and opens before me. I realize that I must be dreaming... My adventure has just begun.

Yeah I think it counts as an LD (though its borderline). As for you The Adventurer I think thats a semi lucid dream. Like you kinda suspect youre dreaming but not enough to do an RC.

Lucid dreaming: Knowing that you are dreaming. Having control or not, doing something or not.

Ive had lucid dreams before and I have NEVER done a reality check. I just sometimes realize Im dreaming without having to do a reality check. I think being athletic in my dreams is enough of a reality check for me. If im running fast its a dream. If Im somewhere I dont know where I am and the last thing I remember is going to sleep and I dont remember waking up its a dream.

I have the word: "Aware" written kinda small on the top of my hand in PermaBlack marker. Every morning a write a new number next to it. That way during the day when I see my hand, I constantly keep reminding myself to be more Aware and Alert... and of RCs, if the word or number change, it is a sure sign.

Two days ago i wrote: Aware -013- I went to bed and did a reality check and it read: Aware ?52110? or something.. So then I knew it wasn't real.
