I think I had one tonight.

Is it an LD if you lapse into a dream within a dream, and observe that bottom one with consciousness - although you believe that the top one is reality? MetaLD?

The bottom line is, I was still concious about dreaming, i affected the course of the dream and observed everything with a distance as though it wasn't real.

Doesn't matter - It was great! It was part of a long sequence of dreams, mainly being about role playing games transformed into 3D videogames that I was physically part of. At one point I wound up at this pier with a crowd of merry people who were diving into the water. Somehow I woke up within this scene and started marveling at the level of detail, and how it wouldn't change into something else as it usually does when you are aware that you are dreaming.

I decided to try and change stuff around, so I said to myself: "Have everyone here look you in the eye". And they did! Amazing stuff. I also persuaded my brain to make everyone know me. So they started cheering me as an old buddy.

I'm glad I found this forum, again, cause I think I might have joined here like 5-7 years ago, when it looked really different. Or maybe that was another one.

I'm from Sweden and I dream a lot, I guess that's normal for people here. It's the blessing of my life. I can never have 24 hours be completely boring even if daytime is. Always a 'film' that I'm taking part of each night.

      See you around.

I've had a dream in a dream, and in my experience, although you don't know where you really are sleeping, if you have goals to do that night, or just want a regular lucid dream, it still works the same way. You'll just be expecting to wake up in a different place. Which can lead to false awakenings(FA). So everytime you get out of bed do a RC and you should catch yourself in a dream sometimes.

I've had dreams where I WILDed, entering sleep paralysis and then going into a new dream, then becoming lucid because of that. The whole time, I didn't know the prior dream wasn't real. At least until I woke up.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

If you were aware you were dreaming, then you were lucid, and it sounds like you were this time. Congratulations!! It is a pretty awesome feeling and that's cool that you were able to influence the characters.

Keep up the good work and you'll be having more LDs in no time Let us know if there's any way we can help and I look forward to hearing more about your future lucid dreams!
