Smile lurking for a few days

      hi dreamviews
I've decided to join after lurking for a few days and seeing how friendly and helpful the people here are. I'll give you some brief or not so brief info about me.
I've been keeping a DJ on and off for around three months now some written scraps in a note book some typed on my laptop.
I find remembering to do RC's throughout the day really hard. Although I do look at my watch a lot but I have never done this in a dream
Ever since I was little and a dream became too scary something would click and I'd say this is a dream but then I'd wake up. Recently I had a dream were I fell out of a rollercoaster and got stuck at the top, then I realised this must be a dream but once again I woke up.
I've been trying the WILD technique for over a month now but every time I start to enter what I think is SP i get excited and loose it.
so thats me and my attempts at lucid dreaming, hi any tips or advice would be appreciated, thanks

      Hi, welcome to DV!

Whatever you do, don't do mindless RCs. 99.9% of the time you become lucid from sudden awareness and not a reality check; they're used just to confirm the fact that you're dreaming.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

      Hello and welcome
As Puffin said, train more on awareness than during mindless RC's. RC are good to confirm if you are dreaming or not.
WILDS are a bit difficult to start with, DILD or MILD are easier. (that's what I find)

      Happy lucid dreaming
