Hello New Here and to Lucid Dreaming.

Hello-My name is Ashley. I am 23 years old and I have always had amazing dreams. I used to keep a dream journal but no longer do so. I don't think I have ever had a lucid dream but I was never really familiar with the term.
I can remember my dreams almost every morning and often they feel very real to me. Within the past eight months my dreams have been about the same things, it's like my own dream world, I have several different houses and I visit them and the town the houses are located in. Dreams intrigue me very much and I am excited to learn more!

      Hi Ashley, welcome to Dreamviews!

When lucid dreaming, dream journals are rather important because they help you recall your dreams. If you don't have good recall, you might not remember your lucids as well as you'd like to, which is pretty frustrating. If you have naturally good recall though, at least a dream a night without keeping a DJ, you don't necessarily have to keep one.

Be sure to have a look at the Dreamviews Wiki, where all the site's information is compiled. There's also lucid dream induction tutorials and a list of the different abbreviations used on the site (in this post, I've used "DJ" which stands for dream journal). I have a tutorial of my own too, which is linked in my signature. Since you're just starting out, I'd recommend reading the DILD and WILD tutorials because they're considered the easiest techniques for beginners.

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to PM me, another dream guide, or anyone else you think can help.

      Good luck.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Limbo in Inception. Awesome! When you learn how to get lucid dreams regularly, you'll have to watch out not to get addicted

A little bit of addiction doesn't really hurt... Welcome to DV!

I've never managed to keep my dream world consistent, like that. It sounds like fun.

I agree! I wish mine were like that. Kind of like a story that continues every time you go to bed.
