Congratz on your first LD! Practice makes perfect. I still have trouble flying at times, but it will become easier with time. Try different techniques, flapping with your arms, strap on a rocket or take a "flying pill". |

Last night I had my first LD but I couldn't fly very well. I tried running fast then jumping, just plain jumping, and I tried to just make myself hover. Well, my result to those were: the first time I tried I stayed airborne for 10 seconds or so. Second time, I stayed about 20 seconds...the last time...fail. |

It helps, for me at least, to simply realize that it is my mind, my imagination, my own personal "Matrix." My thoughts are law. Try to become comfortable with that idea, make it inherent knowledge that you are God in your lucid dreams. |

How old are you? o; The first time I gained lucidity I lost it almost instantly. How vivid was it? Every time I become lucid my dreams suddenly become more clear than usual. |

13. It was pretty vivid. =) |

Congratulations on your dream. Keep experiment with flying and lighting next time you are lucid. Sometimes, the easiest way to control something in a dream is the way that seems to make the most sense at the time. It may make no sense at all when you are awake, but while dreaming your logic is wacky. |
