Thread: had 1st Lucid!! But I need help...

Congratz on your first LD! Practice makes perfect. I still have trouble flying at times, but it will become easier with time. Try different techniques, flapping with your arms, strap on a rocket or take a "flying pill".

You can control EVERYTHING in dreams. Try shouting "Increase brightness!" next time. Or just "Let there be light!". It works the same way with clarity. Other than that, some dreams are darker than others, but you can definitely change the light.

It helps, for me at least, to simply realize that it is my mind, my imagination, my own personal "Matrix." My thoughts are law. Try to become comfortable with that idea, make it inherent knowledge that you are God in your lucid dreams.

Whether or not you really are "God" in your dreams doesn't really matter. Simply the automatic belief of having omnipotence will make your actions (which you are used to thinking of as "breaking the rules of reality) much more natural to you, and that's the important part. Passively letting your will be done, as it were.

How old are you? o; The first time I gained lucidity I lost it almost instantly. How vivid was it? Every time I become lucid my dreams suddenly become more clear than usual.

Congratulations on your dream. Keep experiment with flying and lighting next time you are lucid. Sometimes, the easiest way to control something in a dream is the way that seems to make the most sense at the time. It may make no sense at all when you are awake, but while dreaming your logic is wacky.
