      Question trouble with my subconscious

      Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site and wanted to share some of a dream i had last night.
It was my very first atempt at lucid dreaming, and after about my third dream,
I had realized i was indeed dreaming. For only a split second though. Outloud in my dream i calmly stated "im dreaming". And this strange rat/cat creature that I had been conversing with rapidly turns to me and says "game over". And I wake up.

Is this normal for a first time?

Anythings normal for a first time. Even after many lucids a month things like that still happen to me. Dreaming is really unpredictable even to experts. You might have ben scared or excited. Maybe it was just the end of a REM cycle.

Also i saw your post in the "How to WILD" thread. I dont recommend WILD for people just starting out. Look more at MILD or DILD

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride

I fully agree with dakotahnok, it's pretty random.
However waking up immediately after becoming lucid seems to be a very common thing when having your first induced lucid dream.
It usually happens because you get extremely excited that you actually managed to become lucid. (this "omg it actually worked!" feeling)
      Dreams are simple.
It's the painfully simple things the human mind cannot comprehend.
After all your mind is trained to understand the complexity of the waking world,
not the simplicity of the dream world.
