      Thumbs up Hi DV! :)

Hello DV! I'm fairly new to this forum and thought it would be a good time to say hi and introduce myself. I'm an 18 year old male from Cali. I've known about lucid dreaming for a couple years now, but never had a stable clear lucid dream thats lasted longer then a couple minutes. I look forward to listening and sharing lucid dreaming experiences with you all!

      Awesome, welcome to the forum!!

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride

      Welcome to DreamViews!

To prolong your dreams, you might want to try rubbing your hands together and/or spinning. There was a test done in which "Results showed 90% of dreams were prolonged by hand rubbing and 96% prolonged by spinning." (Wikipedia) Keep working on it and eventually you'll get longer dreams!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I hope you have fun on the forum!

A couple minutes is good for starting out. They get longer with experience. After a while you'll be able to have much longer ones.

      Hi, welcome to Dreamviews!
A few minutes is a very good start. As you experience more lucid dreams you'll be able to stay in them longer. I've found that my lucids have increased slightly in length over time, and I'm now able to handle more excitement before waking up. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me or another Dream Guide (the users in green).

Good luck with having more LDs!
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.
