Lightbulb First Lucid Dream,How can I do it Again??!?!

I wasnt even trying, but i think this is the "wake back to bed" thingy. i just looked down at my hands in my dream and there was this intense intracite design all over them, when i reaized i was asleep i imediately woke up.
When i fell back asleep i looked at my hands again and they were really deformed, this time i tried my best to stay calm and i was finally lucid!! in my dreami could to anything i wanted to, there sooo many things i want to experiment with but my problem is now, how do i do it again?

I'm not entierly sure how i did it in the first place. if anybody has any advice on how to do it again PLEASE tell me. but for now im just gonna continue with my reality checks and see what happens

Hmm... Indeed it is rather interesting. That seems to be a very important Dream Sign, and you should look elsewhere on your body to see if you note any other changes. Who knows, it may turn something up. Try to remember and think upon that scene when you became lucid. Think about it before bed, and consciously while sleeping. I have a feeling you'll get it eventually.

Hello AwakeAtNight, welcome to the forums! The second part I believe was a WBTB, but the first part was DILD (Dream induced lucid dream). There are many methods and techniques to gaining lucidity, that is what this forum is about after all. You can take a gander at the tutorials section which provides in-depth methods and explanations for various ways to have lucid dreams! It appears you already have had a DILD, so you could read through that tutorial to better inform yourself, or perhaps take a look at the WBTB or MILD methods. These are the basic methods, though you can always try some alternations that have been created.

A lot of newbies to Lucid Dreaming like to attempt the WILD (myself included) at first, just as a heads up you should avoid this method until you are quite experienced with lucid dreaming. Although it is effective and provides longer more vivid lucid dreams, it is extremely difficult to learn. '

Anyway, hope my post isn't too confusing. If it was, sorry, just go to tutorials and look up the DILD,WBTB, or MILD tutorials and you should be well on your way. Any more questions? Throw 'em at us and we will do our best to help out!

Hands are very important to lucid dreaming in my experience. We look at our hands every day, so it's no wonder they are often times the first and last things we see before its back to reality. In many of my recent lucid dreams, I've been staring at and focusing upon the palms of my hands in attempts to stabilize myself in my dream and improve the vividness of my dream world. The results have been mixed however. Anyway, I suggest to read through this article on "Induction Techniques" from the homepage: Lucid Dream Induction Techniques

Checking my hands in a dream is my favorite reality check. You lucked out, having this incredible dream on accident. Check out some of the tutorials if you want to learn to do it again.
