      Assistance please :)

I have an irregular sleep pattern and ive been trying to take vitamin b I thought might help but so far nothing. Im trying to fall asleep faster and thus telling myself before i fall asleep that I will lucid dream so that it may actually happen shortly after.
So if anyone has anything they know helps them fall asleep quickly let me in on it cause i could really use the sleep

Hmm...I have irregular sleep patterns as well. I used to use sleeping pills, but I wouldn't recommend them every night. Smoking marijuana could help to relax you/make you tired as well, but not sure if your into that. You could try eating a lot of turkey before bed. You can and will dream even on irregular sleep patterns, but if you aren't able to get sleep in general, you may want to talk to a doctor. You may have a mild form of insomnia or something. I also found that reading makes me sleepy. Try lounging in a dimly lit room and read something. It works for me anyway.

@KDubs, I have had trouble falling asleep for about a year now, mainly due to stress and a racing mind. What has REALLY helped me fall asleep are two things:

      1) Plan to go to bed early if you can, around 9 or 10pm
      2) Don't watch TV, smartphone screen, or laptop screen for 45 minutes before bed. So, if I want to go to sleep by 10, get ready and stop watching lights or screens at 9:15. The reason for this is that screens on smartphones and laptops keep you awake because they prevent your body from going into a sleepy phase. The lights make your brain think it's daytime.
      3) Take generic benadryl (Diphenhydramine) PubMed Health - Diphenhydramine

Benadryl is a drowsy medication, but it's benign and doesn't have any side effects. It's also the same thing used in Tylenol or Advil PM.

Some people thinks it keeps them up but I listen to Boards of Canada every night! Always relaxes me!

Well, it depends on the person. Weed has never kept me from lucid dreaming and I smoke before bed every night.

I never knew that before. I will definitely make sure to not watch TV or use my computer before bed. Thanks!

It is actually a band, well a musical project by these two brothers. They usually use samples from old public television and combine it with all sorts of instruments. My favorite song to go to sleep to is Dayven Cowboy. many nights I just leave that song on repeat.
