Question My Odd Dream Of Fake Lucid?

I think my subconscious is extremely weird.

I was getting ready to go somewhere in my dream, my brother was just bringing his own tea for some reason. I dreamed that I was riding a car with my brother and my friend to go somewhere, I looked at my hand and it didn't say Dream. I wrote dream the night before, but it didn't fully convince me that I was actually dreaming. They made fun of me mocking me saying I wasn't dreaming, so we was actually at the restraunt I flicked the switch on and off, it made sense. I then punched the wall, then really afterwards I just sat down and got drink.

After this dream I woke up into another dream, false awakining. Then finally truely woke up. WTF lol

Any suggestions on how to get by this and also what does this mean? Whats my progress lol?

Welcome to DV! You're on your way, and almost got lucid which is great. Anything lucid-related is progress. It seems that your RC failed, but you didn't really react. When you do RC's when you're awake, be VERY critical to things around you. Expect to be dreaming and know that it will be proven to you if you have let's say six or seven fingers. Or if you can breathe through your nose when you're plugging it etc. Always try to do two realitychecks, and don't just do them, look around and use your memory aswell.

Just keep on doing RC's, but put more effort into them and you'll be fine! If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask.

      Keep on dreaming!

It was still an odd experience even if I didn't control it, because I can still comprehend and think inside my dream. At least I believe I can.

I have actually only done a reality check a few times before in Real Life, somehow I remembered to do it in my dream. Not sure why and how, but awesome! Its experience even if I cant control my dream because I can decide what to dream maybe!

I have actually had, 2 of these in all. One was someone telling me that I was dreaming like Inception.

Ah, then perhaps dreamsigns and realitychecks is a technique fit for you! I would suggest you start doing them. Try it out Good luck!

And another question, what is a good method to use that is scheduled with waking up early in the morning? Before all I did was just go to sleep earlier, I am a deep sleeper and I doubt an alarm clock will wake me up.

Yeah sometimes DCs will assist you in becoming lucid. Other times though, the bastards will do everything they can to convince you it is reality, lol. Like Matte said, always perform multiple types of RCs (2 at the very least). Also, perform this RCs multiple times. Sometimes they will fail the first time and then lead to lucidity if performed again. I strongly suggest performing/using the nose pinch RC. It is the only RC that has never failed for me and seems to be very, very consistent. Nice progress and good luck in your future efforts!

I'm not exactly sure what "DC" means, Dream Control?

Oh sorry about that, sometimes I forget to use parenthesis to explain acronyms . It stands for "Dream Character", which is basically any fictitious character found in a dream. If an alarm clock won't wake you up, you could always try and drink a lot of fluids before bed. You will then wake up during the night to relieve yourself/use the bathroom. You could also try putting a cell phone in your sock as you sleep and set the alarm for vibrate.

He means Dream Characters I don't really get your question. DILD is a technique relying on spontaneously becoming lucid from doing RC's during the day and remembering to do RC's when you "see" a dreamsign. MILD is almost the same, only you get lucid spontaneously with intentions just before bed. Meditation and such. WILD is when you go from a waking state into the dream directly. MILD and WILD is often used during WBTB, when you wake up after 6 hours of sleep and go back to bed. If you don't have the discipline or can't wake up from alarms, I suggest you just rely on the DILD technique.

I am a deep sleeper, although last night I woke easily because the light was turned on. Thanks for the info, so how's my progress? Any tips on how to Dream Control, I know that I need to Lucid Dream first, right?
