I'm new :) My LD experience & also, loud buzzing/humming noise...?

So I've had a few LDs before. My first happened when I was probably in elementary school, before I knew the word "lucid dreaming." I simply realized I was dreaming and started messing around. I had pretty sweet dream control for a fourth grader. Anyway, I completely forgot about that dream until I heard the term come up this year and suddenly remembered the experience.

I decided to start researching lucid dreams and how to have them. With practice, I managed to have my first short LD. The numbers of LDs increased over time as I developed a better dream recall and LD methods.

But last night, I experienced something really weird. I had taken a nap earlier that day because it had been a busy weekend and I needed to catch up on sleep. I wasn't lucid but I remembered having very vivid dreams. I went to bed again around 11PM, and I think I had a false awakening but I'm not quite sure as I don't remember much of what happened. But I remember something strange happening and I suddenly realized "is this really happening? something like this would only happen in a dream...wait!" and I suddenly became lucid. But right when lucidity hit, this overwhelming buzzing noise came over me and my dream went black except for a distant light in the background. I thought this was my dream fading, so I tried to rub my hands together but I couldnt see them. Instead, I tried spinning, but my movements were laggy almost, it felt like i was moving through jello.

I'm not quite sure what to think of this, was this a near-OBE or something? or just a weird LD?

Well, I have some strange sensations in my body, and blackouts a lot of times when I initially attain lucidity, or especially when the dream starts to fade. It should go away eventually. Chances are the dream was just fading. If you can't rub your hands, or spin, or do any of those techniques, it's probably time to wake up . It's a bummer I know. It was just a LD, but keep working with it, they can be difficult at first, even once you're lucid. Good Luck!
The Key is to combine your waking rational abilities with the infinite possibilities of your dreams, because if you can do that, you can do anything.

Yeah, it sounds like a really unstable LD to me. Every now and then a dream is just incredibly unstable and almost impossible to to fix. Sounds like one of those instances to me.
