First of all, welcome! Secondly, how much do you sleep? Can you be awoken by an alarm? Do you fall asleep easily? Are you a curious and daring person? No technique works the same for one person, and you have to try them all to see which one suits you the best. If you intend to try before you fall asleep, then either do mantras or visualizations which is MILD. Or you've done RC's and thought of dreamsigns during the day which would make it a DILD. Or you try to WILD, but I suggest you do that after 4½+ hours of sleep, during a WBTB.

You'll find your own technique, if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!

I say start with MILD or DILD, then after a while go with DEILD.

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride

I recommend looking into WILD and DILD - if the DILD fails the alarm'll wake you up and then you can try WILD. If that also fails, there's a chance that you can DILD again.
