Dang dude, don't give up. It takes so much effort. Just try to get enough sleep, thats the biggest part. I started trying 6months ago(roughly) trying to get lucid dreams, and just barely had. I tried for like 2months straight, every night. Then I just stopped, I'm not telling you to stop.

Then just recently(a few days ago) I had my first lucid. It was incredibly vivid. I don't know how or why, but after an already, I started to just know I was lucid because I saw my friend running from the snake and wondered why he was here. Memories from real life came rushing back, and that there is no such thing as giant snakes guarding the only way out of buildings, or companies that bomb you for exchanging their video games. I just knew I was lucid and after that I was able to control about 70% of the dream, their were some parts that were uncontrollable and kind of wierd. But I am brand new to this.

But dude, don't give up. That morning I woke up and was amazed, it felt so real. As time passes on it doesn't seem real anymore but I still remember the dream clearer than anything else I've ever dreamed about. And I didn't even write it down in my dream journal!!!

It was completely worth it. I also have had some almost close to more lucid dream experiences. Last night I had a dream I woke up and was getting ready for school. That was also incredibly vivid. When I woke up, I was freaked out, it was 3 in the morning and I felt like I was already ready to go to school.

Keep trying.
