      Was that sleep paralysis?

Hi I just woke up from a short afternoon nap during which I experienced something strange. I had a normal non-lucid dream and at one point I realized I was dreaming but everything started to fade. Suddenly my vision started to get very vivid and I felt my legs being very heavy and tingling. I also heard a lot of voices for a moment. I don't know whether I could move or not for I have not tried it to stay asleep but after a while the tingling sensation passed away, my legs became light again and I woke up. It was a very interesting experience, not frightening at all, and I'm very curious to know more about it.

Yes, this sounds like SP (Sleep Paralysis). It's something that happens naturally when you fall asleep and when you wake up, but there's a chance that you can wake up before the paralysis wears off. It's not bad at all if this happens, but it can unsettle some people. Sleep Paralysis when going to sleep is a major part of WILDs (Wake Induced Lucid Dream), as you need to enter it while your mind is still conscious to enter the dream lucid.

If you've any other questions, feel free to ask, or PM me .

This is super common when you take afternoon naps, like that. Remember what time you took the nap. This could be a good time of day for you to WILD.
