      success and a few questions

So I started trying to remember my dreams go lucid 4 days ago, trying many of the methods. I have had a fragment a night, a still shot for the most part, but last night i had a still shot and a movie like dream that was partially form the 3rd person and partially first person that was a bit vivid in looks, but didn't involve the other senses much at all. These are the first dreams I have remembered in months, usually I never remember more than a 1 or 2 every few months. ADA, Mild, day journal, dream journal have all helped it appears.
Anyhow can you go lucid in a 3rd person dream? I also have the problem of just laying there with my eyes closed when I first wake up, any tips on that? When i woke up in the middle of the night i had a strong urge to roll over right off the bat also.

Congratulations on your success in recall Dreaming is all about visualization. If you're in third person, you just have to imagine your consciousness floating toward and into your body. This is of course after you're lucid. I believe that the more vivid your dreams and recall get the more you will take the place in your own body, so you won't really have to worry about it so much soon. I've noticed that when I'm not working on my recall my dreams seem very distant and third personish as well.

The only way to get better at not moving or opening your eyes when you wake up is you practice and program yourself. Tell yourself with your MILDs that you "dont open my eyes or move my body when I wake up". Since you're picking things up so quickly I suspect you'll get good quickly Once you get good at this, you can try the DEILDmethod.

When you wake up in the middle of the night is when you're at your best advantage to try the WILD technique. You can use your body's "turn over" signals to your advantage with Yoshi's method. In the middle of the night you wake up and you get the urge to turn over and you're NOT doing a WILD or DEILD, just turn over and get comfortable however you please so you can fall back asleep. It's easier to fall asleep comfortable than with a throbbing urge to roll over xD

      Hope this helped.

Mathias gave some great tips right there. It sounds to me like you are progressing nicely. Just keep practicing and working toward perfecting the methods you are using. After 4 days, it seems you have made some excellent progress. Good luck to you!
