I have many questions/ lucid dreaming

I have known that I can control my dreams for many years now. I can fly and breath underwater. I have also been able to return to many of the towns that I dream of. I also dream of thousands of people that I have never met before and my cities look like the real world and have all of the details of the real world. I feel like it is so real because there is so much detail in my dreams. Streets have lights and stop lights and the houses have yards and pictures on the walls. I do not know what to make of that part. I do know that I am dreaming because I can make my dream rewind if I don't like where it is going and fix the problem. I also have already said to my self in the dream that I am dreaming. When I dream, it is just like another world and life to me. I also have already defeated death in my dream.

The problem that I had last night is that I had a bad thing happen. I was in my bed and there was an enormous pain in my head and ears. I saw a dark mist over myself and I can't tell if that is where the pain was emanating from. I was in so much pain and then I shook my head really hard and I found myself awake. I still had the pain in my ears which really scared me. I laid there for a minute and was thinking about what had just occurred and was afraid to go back to sleep. but I rolled to my side and then went back to sleep... I then was in another place speaking with some people and was discussing my last dream and was hoping from these people in my dream. Or I was just looking for some comfort.
This is the first time that I experienced pain from which I had in the waking world. I am really freaked out about this. Can someone help me? I need to figure this out so I never feel like this again.

First off, welcome to DreamViews! Ah, there is no need to worry. The sense of pain can easily be created by your mind. It is very possible to feel pain in a dream. Of course, you shouldn't fear the pain either. If you don't want to feel pain and don't expect to feel it, you won't. Now that you understand that pain can be felt within a dream, simply will yourself not to feel it. The feeling you had once you woke up completely was likely a hypnopompic hallucination carried over from what had just occurred within the dream state. Did this pain occur as you were falling asleep or after you had been asleep for a while? If it was as you were falling asleep, it was likely sleep paralysis setting in. If that was the case, this pain was simply a hallucination brought on by SP. If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask!
