      very poor control

ive noticed that i have very poor control in dreams(poor to a point where i cant hear or control my dreamself) but so far ive had 3 lucid dreams by accident. the lucid dreams actually allowed me minimal control of myself while at the same time being mildly aware of my surroundings in the real world. though during these i had no sleep paralysis and actually ended the second one by opening my eyes. Were these really lucid dreams and why do you guys think i have so little control?

P.S another incident was where a nightmare i was having seemed to "bleed" into reality for a moment after i woke up.

First of all, welcome to dreamviews

Btw, Is this the same for all your dreams?
Also, how many dreams are you having a night?

I don't know why you are worrying about sleep paralysis unless if you are trying to WILD... The bleeding and when you ended the dream by opening your eyes sounds like something that happens to me when I sleep in... For me, I get fairly vivid dreams when I oversleep, but at the cost of stability, as in I keep waking up, or when things you hear or see come into your dream.

Are you recording your dreams? Because I think you need to increase your recall before you put too much focus on lucid dreaming...

Let me know if I'm wrong about anything like you might be WILDing or have a DJ so we can see what the problem is.

sorry im new to this community so i dont know what many of the terms etc mean.
fno all of my normal dreams are very distant with little to no control over myself.
ive had 3 lucid dreams all by accident before realizing what they were.
the bleeding effect i was talking about was seeing objects from my dream appear in the real world only for the first moment after i woke up.
      ive never recorded my dreams.

      also, whats "wilding"?

You'll definitely get better as you record your dreams. They should become more vivid, and you should get much better at controlling them.

WILDing is when you perform a WILD. A WILD is a Wake Initiated Lucid Dream, where you enter a dream directly from a waking state without losing consciousness. It's considered to be a very hard method, but it's worth it. There's a forum section dedicated to WILDing.

That is normal for your first few lucid dreams. Remember, you are not really seeing your room. You are just dreaming about seeing your room. A good way of knowing this for sure is that you opened your eyes afterwards. If your eyes are closed, and you are still seeing things then you are still asleep. Don't be fooled.

If you find yourself getting stuck, or having poor control over your body, try rolling. Rock back and forth until you can roll your (dream) body off the (dream) bed. Focus on touching things and moving in a rhythmic manner. Rolling, rocking, swaying, ect. You are asleep. It is all a hallucination. You don't even have to have a body in your dreams. You could just float around if you wanted to.
