      i'm getting impatient

i've been trying to lucid dream for a few weeks but it isn't working.
i keep forgetting to do my reality checks.
and i was wondering, what is the quickest way to lucid dream?
if anyone can help me, that would be fantastic.
also, i have trouble remembering my dreams.. any help with that?

Try FILD, I think that's most easiest for begginers.
      I'll try FILD tonight

"What if you slept, and what if in your sleep you dreamed you went to heaven and there
you plucked a strange and beautiful flower, and what if when you awoke you had the flower in your hand? Ah,
      what then?"

FILD is a form of WILD and WILD us the hardest for begginners.

Start writing down in a dream journal. Every morning, write down anything you can remember. This will train your brain to think of dreams as something important. I did, first night I had nothing as usual, 2nd night I had 4 dreams. So get a dream journal.

As for the method- there is no one, quick easy method for everyone. Some people think FILD and WILD is easy, some say its for experts. I would say... look up as many as you can, and try the one you understand and can imagine the best.

Also, I have been trying for 3 months, and I haven't had a lucid yet. The one under my avatar is from when I was 7, I'm 17 now. Just... keep at it, keep the faith up and believe you will have one. There is no such thing as failing to have a lucid. Last night was just not a night for dreaming.

I'll go ahead and post my 2 cents.

Start with MILD or DILD. Get a dream journal. You have to write in it every morning. If you don't rememebr anything just right downs thoughts and feelings that you had when falling asleep and when waking up. Use affirmations to tell yourselfe that you will rememeber your dreams.

Try your best to do reality checks. Make a schedual. Everytime I see the color red I will do a reality check. Everytime I sneeze I will do a reality check. Everytime I go to the bathroom do a reality check. Something like that.

Stay connected with this site. Post questions and any progress you start to make.

      ^^^ I agree.

      1. Dream Journal
      2. Affirmation (if you don't believe or try, you can only fail)

Reality checks for me are not mandatory. For some people they use reality checks and have gotten lucid by them. But for me, I used them for about a month, maybe 3 weeks, and I mean really going it, like at least once every minute throughout the day. But nothing happened at all. Just be wary that they are for some but not for all. Look up ADA, but again, it is for some but not for all. I would know, wasted a lot of time with it.

Take a break from it for a while. When you get impatient you get frustrated and stressed which is bad. After a few days or a week, then you can get back into it, it takes time. Start with MILD like others said, go for DILDs for now. Maybe write RC on your hand to remind you. You can do it, but you have to be patient. Try mantras and autosuggestion at first. Write in a dream journal for your recall.
      Best of luck.

      flowers shall grow
      and I am in them
      and that is eternity.

i'm a little worried that if i do the "i'll do a reality check when i see\do\eat...." that i won't do those things when i'm dreaming, and therefore i won't have a lucid.

If you have any doubts, it will only manifest and guarantee you won't be able to get Lucid. Just keep believing in it 100% and don't give up. If you find yourself down and having trouble believing in Lucid Dreaming anymore, try reading some journals from DV or look up some youtube videos. Remember, if you believe you can succeed!

Ok, ill post what my experiences have been so far:

I consider myself very lucky as i started seriously thinking about lucid dreaming about 4 weeks ago, since then ive been on and off with seriously commiting to it but I think that the main things to do are to kepp a dream journal. This help ALOT. When i wasnt dream journaling i hardly remembered any of my dreams but when i do DJ i remember 1 or more dreams a night and remembering these dreas help to be aware of dreamsigns

For RCing, always remember to be aware of you surroundings, dont just blindly pinch your nose as it wont work. In 4 weeks i have had 3 Lucid dreams, the best one being about 2 hours ago from this post so please dont give up, its worth the effort The people in this forum, even after only being here 2 days, have already helped me to achieve my goal so listen to the experts and you'll be there in no time

Really OP, you don't even have a big enough problem to warrant a thread. You say you are only a few weeks into trying to lucid? Well I'm almost 4 months in and I haven't had one, but this isn't bad by any standards. Some people don't have one for years.

Just keep at it, you're not behind.
