      Hi!

Hi everyone! I'm Linden. I've been interesting in dreams for quite some time now, I find them fascinating. I tend to have lucid dreams every once in awhile and it's usually only during really bad nightmares where something in me goes "this can't be real" and I'm able to wake myself up.

I was reading up on dreams tonight and figured hey, why not try that more often? So here I am! I'm heading to bed shortly so I figured it was as good a time as any to join and start a dream journal.

Welcome! More people should be interested in Lucid Dreams, it's great. I think the practice of techniques and things required to become lucid also helps you live a better life. Mainly because reducing stress is part of it. A dream journal is definitely the way to start. Improving recall is the first step for any new dreamer. Who cares if you can become lucid if you can't remember it, haha.

I know what you mean about nightmares. A few times when I was younger I used to have horrible terrible dreams and a few times I have managed to wake myself up. I never bothered to look into it before because I wasn't very old and had no access to the internet. Now I'm trying to become more spiritually aware. I can tell you from experience that having a lucid dream is like having chains lifted from you.

      Sweet dreams and good luck!

Nightmares often provide the easiest opportunities to get lucid, look at them in a positive light!

Dream journaling is not only fun, but helps loads with your recall You'll notice very quickly how much better your recall gets and the way your dreams will feel more immersive, vivid and real.

Welcome. You seem to be on the right track, and I would also encourage you to use nightmares to your advantage, especially if they are recurring. Good luck, and have fun.

Just keep up with the DJ, and do reality checks, etc.

Thanks for all your welcome guys! I'm definitely enjoying writing in the dream journal, although I found that when I thought about remembering my dreams before bed I had trouble remembering them! I told myself I wouldn't think about that right before bed and now it's better. :3
