      Allow me to introduce myself...

      Hello dear Lucid Dreamers.

My name is Dominik, I´m from Germany my and interested in controlling my dreams ever since.

Well my first WILD attempt was 4 / 5 Days ago.

      Set: My Room...
Setting: Haven´t slept for 24+ hrs. A little nervous (in positive way), feeling OK.

I was reading everything about WILDing, so I just wanted to try it out. After a Day + of not sleeping, i decided to initiate a Sleep Paralysis. Was ABSOLUTELY no problem at the first 3 WILD attempts. I layed down, no 2 Minutes i was completly paralysed.

      Attempts:

      4:15 h 1st: Failed, too nervous
      4: 20 h 2nd: Failed, Tried to break Paralysis
4:?? h 3rd: False Awakening, pretty vivid, but I was too euphoric, because i thought I´ve woken up and just had a supercool Lucid Dream, dream was too unstable. (at this time i didnt know anything about stabilising a dream and / or realizing it was just a Dream.

I´ll go for a siesta at 3 this afternoon. I´ll post if i had a first lucid experience.

Hi and welcome to DV! You know that WILD'ing isn't optimal when you haven't slept anything at all? This is because, what you're trying to do basicly is to enter a dream, and be conscious. We only dream when we're in REM (although sometimes outside of it) and that's the stage you want to enter when WILD'ing. When you do it when you go sleep you'll most likely fall asleep from exhaustion, or if you do succeed in WILD'ing, you won't be in REM and the dream quality will be very bad.

Whenever you enter Sleep Paralysis, and even if you have no idea if you're in it, don't try to break it. Just go with the flow. It should be completely ignored really, but it's a good indicator that you're on your way and is a good way of telling yourself to stay relaxed incase you feel/hear/see/smell or taste anything funny.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. And good luck!

      Talking t

      Thanks for answering.
      Well,

..but it's a good indicator that you're on your way..
I hope so. Im doing Reality Checks everyday now, also i write down my Dreams.
But i have one big fear.

I know that if I enter the Lucid dream, even expecting something will create that something, or like : Oh I hope theres no monster crawling out behind that corner. and boom there it is

Sometimes i don´t have my self in control, i expect that im a littlebit paranoid, so what if i succesfully enter LD state and see the exorzist girl (just an example ) ?
i know i should be kind and friendly to the monsters and nightmares, but i dont know if i will be ready when it happens. Is there a technique to just not let them in or should i face them ( with death fear )

Well, even though things happen you expect to happen, sometimes just being afraid of them happening isn't enough. What you need to do is try to not think like that, and if something scary comes along you can just change the scenery, defeat it or close your eyes and wake up.

You have to try it yourself, but don't worry! Lucid dreams are great experiences, and you're in control. Just believe in yourself.

Well... thanks again. I just did my Siesta and had 13 false awakenings in one dream.
been in a reaally deep stage of my subconscious....
If i ever succesfully manage to dive in an LD, i might ask my dream to show me my deepest fear, the greatest trauma...

I might to get to know myself better this way. I will defeat my fears. I think I´ll rape my fears. that should do it.
