      First Lucid Dream

I had my very first Lucid Dream. It has been some time since I posted, after some failed WILD techniques I gave up. I was asleep, and had no thoughts about dreaming the day before. A dream began, as I remember, with my mum and I in a shop and everything started slowing down. People's voices, movements, everything but me. Then some kind of evil smiling face came around a corner, slowly and steadily. My heart rate rose, and I woke myself out of that situation.

I was now lying in bed, and I remembered something I hadn't thought about for some time. Lucid dreams. I laid back and slept.

This time, I was in my bed, and somehow remembered my thoughts when awake. I did the nose plug RC and quickly a buzz went through my body. I felt excited, then remembered what I read about getting overexcited, so I calmed myself, stood up and spun around. It was dark in my room, but my first thought was to go outside. And I mean't OUTSIDE. I opened my door, but instead of my hall, I was outside my house. People walked by, some people were biking but I think I slowly lost lucidity from there.

Any tips on continuous lucidity? I think I was just a bit too excited and distracted by the things around me.

Congrats! I read that "spinning" around in your dream is a good technique to keep focused. Also touching things and exploring.

I'm so excited to have my first LD , I think even too excited. Like you said, it happened after you let your mind off the topic. Might try that

congrats! spinning is usually used when you feel the dream is about to end and to generate a new dream scene. you must be careful not to lose lucidity when you 'wake up' in the new scene though.
      Back into lucidity since 4.10
