I mean is it really necessary?
because it`s scary, I had one last night and lasted for a few minutes
I use some program from LaBerge, mp3`s regarding lucid dreaming. There`s an induction on it.
I listen to that and 1 hour of brainwave stimulating stuff for lucid dreaming.
Somehow makes me wake up 3 or 4 hours after the deep sleep phase for a few minutes, without using an alarm clock, then I go back to sleep and start dreaming 
consider it a naturally induced version of WILD 
I achieved dreams that are so-and-so, if you compare that to the visions Dali used to paint out, so 6/10 which can be considered good, because I never remember my dreams, I mean in 90% of the cases prior to discovering this.
when I wake up I`m not tired, I usually have a 6-7 hours or rest
I use this method I described for 2 weeks by now, this was the first time I felt this thing
