If its any consolation i have this too, with the eyes moving and sometimes my body does "twitch" when attempting WILD. |
|
I've tried 5-8 hours and I feel like 7 hours would be my best. The body movements are beyond twitching my legs start moving like it's trying to re-position my body into a more comfortable position. I've recently read that I should try to resist the movement, is this correct? |
|
Yea, resist the movement if you can. Try to keep you mind completely off your body, on breathing or countin breaths, that stuff. And like I said be prepared to hear weird things you have to stick to it until you enter the dream. Try earlier and ty later depending on your results. And let us know how you get on! |

All the things you are describing are normal, I remember experiencing all these when I first started trying to WILD. This may surprise you but I'd say the ear popping you experience is the most significant. In my first WILD, I experienced ear popping many times, and I just kept on relaxing, after a few minutes, the ear popping turned into a loud ringing vibrating sound and my whole body started feeling like it was vibrating, which was very scary at the time. I just tried to remain calm and within seconds, I was in a WILD! Ever since then, every WILD i have starts with ear popping and then the vibrating feeling/noise, so I'd say you're on the right track |

I think I'm gaining progress! I was able to get to a point where I couldn't hear the outside world, but lucky for me my friend had to disturb my sleep. I think I will be able to do it on my next attempt, I'll notify you guys of my progress. |
|
Mayb im wrong, But i read on some hypnosis forum awhile back, that the twitching is a defense mechanism from your subconscious. Like it has you twitch to stop you from entering, or something to that effect. Dnt quote me tho. Good luck on your WILD |

Sorry all, I've been quite busy with school starting up and all, but I've came to report my progress. I've had 4 lucid dreams to date (all being DEILDs) but no luck in stabilizing them. I've had 0 luck with trying to WILD so I guess it's not really for me or I just have to practice more I suppose. I'm almost sure that in my next LD I'll be able to stabilize, but I haven't had an LD in 2 weeks now and I'm starting to lose hope again. |

i dont know if this means anything to you but, (well 1st just joined this sight after having sleep paralysis for years), but anyways i had expirenced this for years, just found out the name, did some researching, took me to lucid dreamind and now im here. Anyways, for me it happens naturally and nothing i do really induces it BUT somethings that make me have it more is for one, sleeping on my back. You tend to get this in a more upright position. Also if the rooms really cold it happens, just weird stuff like that. But i will warn you, its pretty scary when it 1st happens. And yeah you will hear VERY WERID AND LOUD things. For me its always some kind of evil laughter:p haha idk why, just cause i guess i itepret it as that. Anyways yeah try sleeping in upright posistions helps A LOT. |
