      Unhappy Little tired of trying

Ever get the feeling when you want something so badly , but it feels as though you will never get it ? Then what do you do next ?

I am desperate to have a lucid dream , I want it more than anything else in my life. Why is it so difficult to have one ?

Is there anyone who has some advice other than techniques, which they know is why they are able to go lucid ?

There must be something i can do

How hard do you try? MILD, RC's, visualizations, daydreaming, reading other people's entries and watching movies. WILD, DEILD, WBTB, REM rebounds, supplements?

How long have you tried? How often do you remember your dreams?

This is the reason I left Dream views a few times, because I didn't get any lucid dreams, but I always came back.

People will tell you to stick with it, to believe in yourself, to have confidence that it will happen and to not give up.
They say these things because they are the best advice they can give without just telling you about different techniques and stuff.

That's all you can do. There is nothing else you can try. All you have left is to stick with it. People do get them after trying for a long time, so you should do just that, since there is no magic word or technique out there that has the secret key to simple lucids.

I've heard one DV member didn't get a lucid dream for like 8 years of trying, and now he has lucid dreams all the time. I don't think it will take that long with you, I got a lucid dream after a couple of months.

      Don't try to hard, seriously.
Trying to hard can have the opposite effect. Give it a break for a day or two perhaps a week and then give it another try =)

Why do you type Capital letters for each word?

I think everyone here get's up. Most of us had to really work up their way into lucidity, and even for the most experienced oneironauts, I'm sure it wasn't always easy.

What you should do first of all, is sharing with people what method are you using, maybe it's not the right one, or maybe you're not performing it at it's best. Because if anyone can have lucid dreams, that means you will also have them.

I only recently started to serious practice lucid dreaming, and even in the day where I slack or get frustated by lack of dream recall, I think "I'm so freaking lucky for knowing what these dreams are, no way I will stop practicing".

Trust us, you will have lucid dreams, or even maybe you do have them, but cannot recall them eheh

I say leave it for a week.. try to not even think about it, then try again. Reverse psych yourself so to speak.. however it is primarily to try and get rid of the stress you may have associated with lucid dreaming.

You say yourself you are tired of trying, then have a rest from that, but please remember you are more than cabable of doing it
