When you close your eyes, you tend to lose grip on the dreamscape you're in, which has the adverse affect of what most of us want, to stabilize. |

Thx for the reply. |

Keep at it! Five lucids isn't nearly enough for you to not get that "newbie excitement." Just live in the moment whenever you get lucid and don't stress yourself. There's no big rush to actually do those stabilization techniques. If you think about doing them (and especially why you are) too much, you'll just wake up yourself up. |

For me the key word for staying in a lucid dream is: CONNECT. Find something, anything to connect to in your lucid dream. Sometimes I go so far as to throw myself on the floor and rub against the dream landscape, other times I connect with my dream body by staring at my hands *very powerful results*, othertimes I try to fool my mind into thinking that I'm still dreaming and not actually lucid (basically playing along with whatever situations your dreams send you, interACTING with dream characters, etc) |
