      0 control in LD

I had a lucid dream a while back, I woke up In my bed and was playing 360 then something weird happened and I became lucid via RC, I went to my living room and I felt like I was going to wake up so I pictured myself somewhere else and started spinning (I cant remember where I wanted to go) but when I stopped spinning NOTHING had changed, I had fully believed i would be somewhere else, I felt like I had no limitations... I was so disappointed that I willed myself to wake up 

Why wake yourself up so soon? Patience is a virtue. You could have just tried it again a few times, or let the dream lead the way for you to places you wouldn't have even thought of visiting.

Try a more passive approach: picture something behind the corner or behind a door, and you will probably find it there.

      Stirred has a point.

Also some of the fun in lucids is figuring a way around obstacles... if you cant seem to fly, use a flying pill, or a jetpack.... If something is blocking you from doing something you want to, there are so many alternative methods you can use its actually stupid. You just need to be a lil more creative.

Also did you stabilise the dream before trying this? Sometimes a lucid can let you have little or no control until you stabilise and everything seems to be fine.

      Good luck anyway!

I'm sorry I'm really new, and i think my Lu Ida were by lick anyway, so it's kinda weird wen I think I have everything down then I learn something that's completely necessary to the dream proccess... Now that you say it, my dream was extremely blurry it was annoying and I could barely see.

stabilising a dream is actually very simple. Its all about grounding yourself in the dream and getting used to your dream senses to drown out any thoughts of your physical body laying in bed, as if you start to think about it, well lets just say your lucid will be short.

      A few ways you can stabilise are;
      • rubbing your hands together, concentrate on how it feels
      • use your senses, touch things, what does it smell like atm, what do things feel like, eat something/drink something, how does it taste
      • concentrate on your surroundings, or a small portion of the floor

Those are just a few, there are more.

      Wiki Dream Stabilization Guide
There's a link to the forums guide, you should check it out, stabilization is the method in which you make the dream more stable, if you've ever wondered why a lucid is so blurry or you wake up very easy, it is because the dream was not very stable.

The general idea is that you use your senses to improve the detail of the world, it is described better in the guide.
      Good luck!

Dont worry, the whole thing is a learning process, even for the pro's!

And yeah sounds like your dream wasn't very stable... Next time your lucid try stabilising before attempting anything big or exciting, such as flying etc...

Also if its blurry try a few verbal commands "clarity!" for example. it usually helps. Anyway hope you found this helpful and good luck for the future!

You have to face lucid dreams as cooking: the more you try, the more you persist, the more chances you have to get that steak perfectly cooked. Yes it can burn 50 times in a row, but that is 50 mistakes that you're getting out of the way.

Don't rush your dreams, it's always a win when you get a lucid, and experiences also is importance in the matter of dream control, especially in the first stages of lucidity

      Good luck!
