Did i just have a lucid dream???

Or was it a dream about becoming lucid??? Well here it goes:

I was walking outside on a path/road with my cousin. We were just chatting and stuff. He said or did something out of character, and i said "Wait! Is this a dream?" or something like that. I did the finger through hand RC, and it worked!!! First thing i did was rub my hands for stability. I even licked the ground for safe measure. Then i went into this building and did nothing... I couldn't think of anything to do.

That's not how my dream journal went, but that's what basically happened. I didn't really feel like it was a lucid. Now that i think of it, it could've been a normal dream. I'm okay if i did nothing at all. I'm just glad to be lucid for once... If i was lucid.

yes that sounds lucid, but I'm surprised that you didn't get overly excited thinking about doing a million things at once like most people are, which is actually good for you. Next time you become lucid, after stabilizing, think of anything you have really ever wanted to do and do it, knowing that it is possible. To help you remember, you can also trying incorporating this dream goal in a MILD so you remember.
Current goal: Learning pyrokinesis and FUS RO DAH

I think i was to scared that the dream would fade so i stabilized and forgot all i could do. I'm just glad i had a lucid!!! I didn't even plan on it. I was trying Solarflare's Alone Induction Technique. My first mantra was "I lucid dream.", and my second was "I remember my dreams." I didn't get to say the second, but i also recalled 3 drams and 1 fragment that night.

To stabilise a dream, you have to get a feel for the dream world, so use your senses, a good method is by feel - to rub your hands together, the feeling generated by this action allows you to become more stable.
The excitement is natural, I found the best way to get over it is to perceiver and just keep trying, because realising your dreaming will become alot more natural to you and hence you won't be as rushed and excited.
And yes, if you make the dream stable the dream will last longer as you will remain in it.
      Hope it helped, good luck!

I have had similar "semi-lucid" dreams. It's like I'm lucid, but not completely lucid.... It helps to do a few more reality check, just to realize completely that this is a dream
