Hi there Timbo, there's so many more fellow Aussies joining lately!
Welcome to Dreamviews
How long do these dreams last? They can last from milliseconds up to an hour. Science says dreams can only last for as long as you sleep, but there are fellow dreamers here that say you can dilute time, resulting in days, weeks, months, even years in a dream! I haven't tried this myself, but it's one of my dream tasks
How long does it take to acquire this skill? It varies from person to person. Some people have a lucid dream the very night they find out about lucid dreaming. Other can take longer. Myself, it took me one week of trying (two weeks after i found out about it.)
How many times can you do it a week? My record so far is 3/week. Technically you can do it everytime you dream, and if you get the recommended amount of sleep per night, that's about 6 dreams. So 6x7 = 42. 42 times! Actually, you can lucid dream more than that, say.. if you wake up prematurely and then DEILD (Dream exit induce lucid dream).
Is it hard? I don't reckon. As long as you're confident and dedicated, you'll be living out your fantasies in no time!
How do I remember my dreams? Dream recall. What I do is, once I wake up from a dream, I'll like there for up to 5 minutes, not thinking about anything. As if you were going to go back to sleep. This puts your brain in that.. level as if it wants to go back to sleep, bringing back from recall of the previous dream.
Do you feel things during the dream? Of course! Dreams are stimulated by your mind, but you'll be surprised how real your senses feel. However, everything is about expectancy. If you run your hand over a smooth surface and expect it to be bumpy, guess what? Bumpy it will be
Is it fun? HA. Imagine being locked in a playroom where you can play with anything you want, do anything you want, and be anything you want. Then put the scene into place. You can control anything. You're practically God in your own world!
Many lucid dreams to you
