Welcome to Dreamviews, snakeops!
Yeah, sounds like you need to improve your recall. Dreamviews has an official Dream Recall Tutorial you should read. I find the thing the helps me the most is right when I wake up, I stay still and think of nothing but my dreams. Any little detail or though I write down. If you don't have enough time to write down all the details just jot down the main points of the dream and add details later.
After your recall improves you can start to focus on actually have a lucid dream. Check out this thread for a list of all the main techniques, and a little bit about them. You want to pick a technique that appeals to you the most. Once you have chosen a technique, you can find a bunch of tutorials on that technique around the forum. You can also combine different techniques to make it your own. I also recommend you start to do reality checks.
Anyway, right now you should just focus on your recall. Good luck, and I hope you start having lucids soon! If you have any questions, feel free to message me.
