Sleep problems and help with some day getting a lucid

      Hello all,
I've been reading the tutorials and all the great info you guys have here about all the different techniques and am starting to wonder which of these i should try. First I would like to rewind though and give some information about myself.

I'm not really much of a dreamer period, or at least i should say once I awake I almost cannot ever recall a dream I had, maybe once every month or two. The exceptions to this are when I run myself extremely sleep deprived, for example this week I've been working on projects at home and staying up until midnight or 1am and then getting up at 6:30am. Just last night I had my first dream in a while and I can still remember some of the details and the "plot" of the dream because it relates to a family member and something that disturbs me.

I would also like to state that I have a crooked spine and I physically cannot sleep for longer then 3-4 hours because my body is awakened in pain and then I have to get up and move to the couch where I can finish off my nights sleep. I'm pretty sure it is in this "second sleep" that I always have my dreams though so maybe it is possible for me to learn how to lucid?

I know this is a long post but was just looking for suggestions for where I should focus my research for now, probably dream recall upon awakening for a while?

Thanks if you made it this far!

      Hi there my friend,
Glad you've joined DV. Always remember that everybody can lucid dream, but of course, patience and determination is needed. Dream recall is very important in the field of lucid dreaming, so try reading the official dream recall tutorial to know how you can enhance your dream recall. Also, get yourself a Dream Journal to aid and exercise your dream recall my friend. And here's another useful info: Foods rich in Vitamin B6 (like peanuts and bananas), enhances a person's dream recall. So try to eat foods rich in b6 before you go to bed.

Anyways, based on your account and situation, I think the DILD method is the most suitable method for you. It's one of the most easy methods out there. The main concept of the method is to always ask yourself wether you're in a dream or not. Sometimes, when a you're in a dream, you just tend to follow the dream plot. But with proper awareness and proper habit of questioning reality, you might just be able to realize that you're inside a dream. Here's a full guide on what you need to know on how you can do a DILD: http://www.dreamviews.com/f49/sat-sp...puffin-100798/ .

Just keep trying and you'll have your first LD in no time. If you've got questions, feel free to reply back. Hope this helps and good luck
