Thank you for all the help guys. I am just going let myself ease into it. I will continue to practice the MILD technique. =D

Now something that has been running through my mind for awhile now is if it's possible to practice both the MILD technique and the WILD technique each night.
I feel like it would because you would practice the MILD technique right before bed and then attempt the WILD technique after waking up in the middle of the night.(I naturally wake up a few times during the night). Would it be best just to focus on technique.( especially for beginners?)

Let me know what you guys think about it.

Yes, you can practice them both in a same day, they are not mutually exclusive, since they work on different principles.

MILD/DILD - Mnemonically induced LD/Dream initiated LD - you do RCs, daytime awareness and mantras (mnemonics) to help you become aware that you are dreaming while you having a regular dream. You do this throughout a day, every day. Mantra is your last thought as you normally falling asleep first time and anytime you wake up at night.

WILD is a more "hands-on" approach, when you try to enter a dream directly from being awake. You try it after at least 4.5 h of sleep and coupled with WBTB (wake back to bed). If you try it and it doesn't work, there is always a chance, that you will have a DILD from practicing MILD.
