      Welcome, Blaed.
For DILD, you have two things you can do (or both together); 1) notice dream signs and 2) Reality check.
For (1), you must first start a dream journal. For this dream sign method, you must write down any detail you can remember, whether it be an emotion, the lighting, where you are, who's there, whatever. Just write it all down
For (2), you should reality check whenever you question that you might be dreaming in waking life. Our dream reflect the actions of our waking life, so if you don't suspect you're dreaming in reality, how can you expect to question it in your dreams?

Also, check out this guide, it should answer a lot of newbie questions; http://www.dreamviews.com/f20/beginn...eaming-124786/

      Well thank you, fOrceez

I have been avidly reading about the SAT guide (puffins DILD variation) and it seems if i am skeptical or question reality when im RC'ing it'll become a habit and carry over to my dreams? and is that when i get to control my body?

i've been trying to LD for about a week now, no results but i AM keeping a DJ and soo far its pretty small

when did you get your first LD?

The point of reality checks is to do them until they become a habit that you begin to do without thinking about. That way you automatically do them in the dream.

Many people tie RCs to a certain thing, like doing one every time they walk through a door or look at their watch. Something you are likely to do in a dream anyways. That way every time you walk through a door, you'll do a reality check.

      PATIENCE

It could take years, days just focus! Keep browsing around and don't complain. Some people have been doing this for much longer and still can't handle it.

Make sure to put emotion when you remember bits of a dream, get frusterated when nothing comes to mind. Exaggerate the thoughts and your brain will realize its important over time.

***urgent*** That caught my eye, worked I guess, even though I'm a day late. Let me tell you my short story. In the early days I failed miserably at telling myself I would realise that Im dreaming. I have NEVER induced a lucid dream by doing a reality check in the last 20 years. I only started having lucid dreams regularly once I started taking daily meditation seriously. Im not saying that is the way for you, but try to be a little more patient and study this forum as much as you can and find out what does work for you through trial and progress.

Please click on the links below, more techniques under investigation to come soon...

It took me about two weeks to have my first lucid dream, but you shouldn't try to compare yourself to others. Your progress with lucid dreaming is your progress. It's no competition.

Hell yeah! Meditation can help so well. I've slacked off far too much and plan on getting back into my meditatino cycle soon.
