6 lucids is too little though <.< |

Hey guys, this is my first post on this site and I was just wondering if you could help me out on a bit of a dilemna. I seem to be having trouble keeping a dream stable I've read all over this site about how to stabilize dreams but it feels as though im completely powerless. I've had about 6 lucid dreams and none have lasted longer than 15 seconds, it discourages me because 2 of those were WILD lucid dreams and the others were through reality checks through an already existing dream. |

Also, closing your eyes isn't a great way to stabilize the dream. That puts the focus back on your mental process and takes away from visual aspect of the dream, which is likely to give you a change of scenery or at least destabilize the one you were just in. As Hukif said, take the time to slow things down. You have to get accustomed to the dream a little bit, unless your anxiety and excitement is going to probably wake you up. Look at your hands. Really look at them. Take in all the details. How many fingers do you have. How deep are the contours of your fingertips. How big are your heart-lines. Things like that. This puts more and more of your attention into the dream, instead of taking it out. Once you've done this for a moment, and your hands have become more detailed, you can look away from them, and the rest of the dream world should have increased in clarity as well. |
