Hi Nathan, welcome to DV! |
I would happily try WILD but a year back I had 2 Sleep Paralysis Ocurances in 3 days, which really freaked me out. Thanks for your help! |
I have never experienced SP, but I understand what you talking about. It can be scary, but be assured, that it can't harm you. I believe SP is a gateway to lucid dreams, when you have it, you are half way there. Just close your eyes and wait for images to appear behind your eyelids, that will turn into movies. Then what I do, is pick a spot in the movie and say while believing it : I ...am....there. Then i'm transported into the lucid dream. |
It sucks that I had the sp experience :p I felt like i was thrashing about but i wasnt moving |
DEILD is, when you wake up from a lucid dream and you remember not to move at all, not even opening your eyes. Unless you were at the end of your REM, you should within seconds enter another (or the same) LD. Since you don't move, you can't tell if you in SP or not. |
No no hallucinations, i was under my blanket, it also happened both times while i was waking up. Its not that i think it can harm me, its just the feeling of being powerless and unable to move. Any examples of hallucinations? |
Well, I think the hallucinations are behind your closed eyelids. What I saw was a face distorded from screaming and I heard that scream. This was when DEILDing. |
Creepy :p what time do you usually wake up to go back to bed, and what time do you do your Dj? Im also not looking forward to having hallucinationd |
My normal waking time is anywhere from 7 am to 9 am. From this I derived my WBTB time. I wake up 1 hour before my usual waking time, stay up for 1 hour, do some MILD excercise and go to sleep. It's a modification of technique from this article: |
Thanks if theres the off chance i do have one, what should be the first thing i try and goals i should set to increse stability ect ect |
Hey Nathan! |
Thanks! |
I would advise you to read the tutorials from DV Wiki. The more you read, the better you'll be prepared. Once in a LD, you will be surprised, how much from what you have read you acctually remember. |
Heres an important question to me, is Lding somthing like a normal dream where you remember you HAD the experience but generally you dont remember much and its oblivious it didnt happen in rea life |
Although some Lucid dreams can feel like waking life, there is never any question in your mind, that it's a dream. When you wake up, you don't feel like you had a real experience, you know for sure, that it was a dream. But the cool stuff you get to do can make your experience and memory of it stronger. |
Ill put it like this, you know it was a dream but knowing it was a dream, did it still feel like you ACTUALLY experienced it and isnt just a memory? |
In one of my LDs, I was flying through some bushes and branches were hitting me in my face. I was turning my head and closing my eyes, so my eyes don't get hurt. I definitelly felt it, as if real branches were hitting me on my real face. I felt the coolnes of the leaves and wind blowing. But when I woke up, I knew for sure, it was a dream. I'm sorry, I can't explain it better. Hurry up and have your LD, so you know how it feels |
alright thank you for all the help ! Ill get back to you |
For me it's like remembering a vacation I took or a project I've done or something, like it's just another thing I've done. So yeah, it's like your actually there doing it, and then when you wake up you remember it like anything else. |
Thanks for clarifying! |
