      SP and migraines

Hello everyone! Noob here, not an intentional lucid dreamer, but someone who has had unintentional SP, insomnia, and OBE type sensations for a while now. I have been to sleep doctors, on/off anti depressants, diagnosed wih narcolepsy (but i don't fall asleep in the middle of the day unintentionally; the diagnosis was mostly due to experiencing SP and an OBE during a sleep study, or according to the drs, audio/visual hallucinations). I am exhausted all the time, and suffer from intense migrations, and am sick of ssri meds. So, since the sleep doctors aren't helping me, I thought i could do a little research on my own and see if I could actually get some measure of control over my SP episodes. Maybe if I could control them, I won't be so terrified or end up with such headaches. So my question is for you LDers, do you get migraines from lucid dreaming and sleep paralysis episodes? Do you know of any way to prevent headaches, or body lethargy after an SP incident?

      Thank you!

My mom had the same exact thing you describe. It is not at all like the SP we talk about here. Most of us can move to break SP because we reach it through a meditative trance and maintain a degree of rational awareness. Maybe learning the standard skills involved in this could give you the ability to break SP like we do. It is not really the same thing but I bet the training will help you. I know some head pain can happen while in the trance state but i havent heard about pain lasting more than minutes after waking.
