Hello everyone! I'm brand new to dreamviews and lucid dreaming. I'm 18 years old and a student at Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts. I just recently started learning about lucid dreams when my calculus professor mentioned them to our class, and this made me want to write about lucid dreaming as the topic for a research essay in my writing class.

Pretty much ever since I started researching it I've been having lucid dreams without actually putting in any effort. The first time it happened I remember feeling distinctly annoyed that I was dreaming, because I was very tired and wanted to go to sleep. It was all very vivid, however, and I had some degree of control over my environment. I had one dream where I woke up as soon as I realized I was dreaming, and another just yesterday during an afternoon nap where I walked around my dream-neighborhood completely lucid. I came across this website while gathering references for my essay last week and after my most recent and vivid lucid dream I decided it would be fun to register. My writing teacher tells us that if we want to get better at writing we should use a journal. I figure that if I'm going to keep a journal it might as well be a dream journal!

Anyway, I look forward to learning more about lucid dreams and all related topics over the next few months!
